WHY IT Matters
Approximately 22 Veterans die by suicide everyday
Rates of depression among soldiers are 3x higher than civilians
Less than 50% of returning Veterans in need receive mental health services
The leading causes of houselessness among Veterans are PTSD, social isolation, and substance abuse
Veterans have a higher risk of houselessness than civilians due to depression, PTSD, and brain injuryWhile these projects are all-hands-on-deck efforts, they reflect our love for this city and the people in it.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and Do Good is doing our part to support Veterans mental health on Memorial Day.
